Kandy Vicini, IT veteran and VP of Sales for GyanSys is responsible for a portfolio of clients and shares over 25+ years of experience working within the IT industry. She has been in a wide variety of different roles in her career. Beginning as a developer, she continued into ERP consulting and then on to IT Leadership. For the last 12 years, Kandy has been in a sales role providing the right solution and expertise to support her client’s requirements. Read her interview below.
I’ve just completed my eighth work anniversary with GyanSys this year. I started as an account manager in sales, helping to grow new businesses. Now I manage a portfolio of customers and support GyanSys to grow sales and our revenue.
Throughout my career, I've worked for many organizations of different sizes. I've worked for large corporations and I've worked for very small companies. In my opinion, GyanSys is just the right size organization. It’s not too big or too small. It's big enough to offer a lot of growth opportunities and to move your career forward and upward. Sometimes, when you are working in a small organization, you may get stuck in a particular role and not be able to move forward. GyanSys is just that right size where you can learn new skills. You don't have to stay in a particular lane. Another thing that I appreciate is the access to leadership that we have here. Large organizations don't have that. These are the things that I like about our organization. GyanSys is always growing but we still have that smaller company culture.
We are a global organization but the culture here has that small company feel about it. I'm a small-town girl. One of the things that I love about our company is that we have the opportunity to meet and be a part of a team with people who represent many different walks of life. That diversity is absolutely something that brings a valuable asset to our organization. You get to know colleagues overseas and it feels like a family and truly, a great group of people to work with.
Another unique attribute of GyanSys is that we all have a voice here. No matter what your role is, your voice can be heard. Your thoughts and opinions are always welcome. There is nobody that is off-limits. That is the culture at GyanSys.
